I was wondering if anyone has came across this error when dealing with SAMBA. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822345 is the error and the 'fix'. I have about 50users that can connect just fine, running sp2 (xp pro) but some other users that have xp home or media center can't. There running sp2 and they still get the above error. In the article i need to contact MS for the hotfix... Any quick fixes other then maybe changing then workgroup? Netbios is enabled All can ping the server. Z drive is OK for use (IE there PC doesnt have a Z drive in use)

This one is really making me think. I have WinXP pro sp2/Vista Ult at home and it works fine. At work i have WinXP pro and that works fine. My laptop which is a mac can't connect and Just locks up, All PC's are on different Work groups. The logs on the server doesn't reveal anything that would help.

Sort of figured it out, I was using the command line to set this up which didn't work... But going up too 'Tools' then Map Network Drive, it seems too work but its still pretty iffy. /me thinks more.
