Hello, I have got an Openvz node with solusvm and it is stuck on boot with the command grub> I am not sure how to fix this seems like it is related to grup, can someone help me with commands to rewrite or fix grub?

You could try this: exit that or re-load your ssh console. And check if ploop is installed… that's one of the main reason the vps won't boot. If it isn't "yum install ploop -y" If that doesn't work. Boot it on SolusVM and then when it fails go on SSH and use this command: "cat 50 /var/log/vzctl.log" what does the error shows. The most common reason is "CT 001 Container config file does not exist" if you get that error: If there's no 001 folder use mkdir 001 if it's not that I'm not sure and you could contact the SolusVM guys their support is very helpful.

Hello @ahamedadmin this issue is because you are loading the incorrect kernel to boot so that is the reason you are stuck at the booting of the node. Please go to this location by ssh and insure you select the kernel of openvz to boot and your issue will be solved. /boot/grub/grub.conf the kernel at position one will be openvz kernel. thanks.

Hi, If your server is stuck at the grub prompt, then it has surely failed to search the boot sector properly. You will have to take a help of a professional system administrator or ask the DC techs to check this if you are having any managed support. Probably grub has to be reloaded to get it online.

Checked by getting server in rescue mode whether the disk has any data in it You datacenter should be able to get it on KVM where you can check it by mounting the old drives
