Free VMware vSphere Hypervisor VS Free Xen Opensource

Hello, Can anyone compare the free version of VMware vSphere Hypervisor based on VMware ESXi verse the opensource Xen Hypervisor found on Xen.org? What are the limitations of each "free" product?

You aren't allowed to use either to sell VMs per their licensing so it makes it kind of pointless for cloud computing.

Doesn't onApp and other providers use these free versions as their hypervisors? How are they able to use them to sell VM's then?

You have to become a vmware partner to sell vmware virtual machines to 3rd parties. The free versions are ok to use for your own internal machines, same goes with paid for vsphere as well. You rent the licensing based on usage, as a partner/service provider. You also have to have people trained in vmware technical sales as part of the agreement.
