Openstack in production environment
Posted by ukiroo, 06-05-2011, 11:01 AM |
We are looking to start offering cloud services. After doing some research, we found OnApp and Openstack interesting.
We want an app with good features, stable and secure. I have signed up with hosts who uses OnApp and I like their overall easy of use. Has any one deployed Openstack in a production environment? If so please provide me some feedback.
Regards
Anton

Thanks for your comments regarding OnApp - let me know if you've got questions I can help with.
I think internap uses openstack for some of their infrastructure.
Openstacks cloudstorage setup is pretty cool.

Ive taken alook into it myself and at this stage I believe its not the cheapest of options to implement into existing infrastructure, If you want something more focused towards an hosting provider i,d take alook at onapp for sure

ukiroo,
If you are looking at more than just hosting "cloud" VPS' look at a solution like CA 3tera Applogic.
They have Version 3.0 in beta testing and its looking very interesting.

How easy is it to automate with Ubersmith or WHMCS?

Ukiroo,
Its possible as we created a WHMCS using the applogic API. It does things like autocreate applications, stop them if billing is late, start them again once they pay etc.
Should be the same with Ubersmith.

I think you must be with On App for your use.
