Was recently approached with a very interesting discussion on becoming a partner with Zeus.com - able to SPLA their application load balancing / traffic management software, seems to be a good fit - anyone else ever work with this group? Seems they have many of the largest players already working with them (Amazon, Rackspace, many others)... please provide comments back on this as you have something to add or for me to consider before I take the next steps... http://www.zeus.com/partners/become-zeus-partner

They have a trial you can check out to help you decide. That might be your best bet to start with. i have deployed zeus for customers and it is v good - but i hear they have changed the SPLA pricing recently upwards !!

Which isn't such a good thing as they weren't exactly cheap in the first place, although my price list is a few years old.

The pricing is very attractive compared to other options, they have exceptional methods to help develop someone to becoming a cloud, and upsell within the cloud, I'm just wanting to make sure I complete every bit of diligence before I completely jump in... Doesn't seem from the posters remarks to my initial post that there are too many issues, otherwise, I'm confident there would had been some banter. I'm going to cross post to see if I can get a bit more info, but this is looking very positive to this point..

We've had good experience deploying Zeus Load Balancers and working with Zeus. The ability to deploy on commodity Intel-based hardware means performance far outperforms most appliance solutions.

Is this thread still bouncing around? Zeus has a pretty crummy site, with some pretty crummy videos of people touting their business product... Okay, I'm no artist either, and although from a marketing standpoint, the average schmoe might say, crappy website design, crappy product, others simply say, wow, they should hire someone to do a better job on their website while they continue to make kickass software (although it's kinda pricey). But the main thing I don't uderstand about this thread, is that it's about a link inviting someone to try out their partner program. That doesn't mean swap over your whole infrastructure and base it on their product, but just try out the partner program and then if you can get behind the product then jump in with both feet. I don't really see what the hesitation was about in the first place. That's a golden opportunity to try out the product to see if it's something you can convert into a lucrative channel for you. Anyway, the gearheads in the crappy videos who obviously weren't scripted (no one could mess up that bad with a teleprompter), should be a clue that it's prolly a pretty good product - it does have it's market, however, so perhaps that's the question that should be addressed in this thread - like the poster before me. I can say - I did take the plunge and have converted a few of my customers from some of the other products in market - the customers are enjoying the change and the pricing I can now extend is making the business discussions on this one line item easier. As for the start of the thread, this was to see how many others were also in discussions beyond the ones they cited when they approached me (Rackspace, GoGrid, Amazon, many more). These are not small companies and it really validated why to consider their solution.. Good luck to all that responded !!

I suggest you top go through trial session before taking the final decision for using Zeus.com.
