Locked Out Of SSH.. Firewall

Posted by Netarch, 05-25-2008, 03:23 PM
Today i got home from work to find none of my websites responding. When i ping the server i get a response as normal so i know its online. It seems the firewall iptables is blocking all incoming access to the server. When trying to connect to ssh nothing happens (just a blank black screen) heres a screenshot: http://image.bayimg.com/najneaabl.jpg I rang my datacenter but no one is there as its sunday evening. Is there anyway i can get into the server to turn off the firewall?

O_o You need a new datacenter. You really need someone to get console access. do you by chance have access to the apc that you could perform a remote reboot?

Due to security issues etc, Its doubting you would have access to their iptables.

Need to contact your DC, it is the only way or maybe your IP is the only banned, try to use different ISP or ask somebody to try to login to your server for you and clear up your Ip.

Have you tried connecting via Control panel ? If not then DC can only help you.

Are you sure you didn't just lock out your home ip? Do you have anyone else who can connect to it on port 22?

Did you had a custom ssh port? You can regenerate your ssh config using the following command http://server_ip:2086/scripts2/doaut...ofix=safesshre start if port 22 is not filtered
