Hi there. I'm forgetting how to create a SNMPv3 user on Windows. Anyone wanna tell me what config lines I need to add and where they need adding?

Does net-snmp-config work on Windows? ( I know that exact command doesn't exist, but is there a similar one? )

There's a Windows binary of Net-SNMP you can use. Beyond that if you have the Windows media you can pop it in the drive (or mount it via image) and goto "Add/Remove Programs" -> "Add/Remove Components" and add it through there.

I don't normally use Windows, so I'm not too familiar with that. How would I add a snmpv3 user with a password?

Their documentation covers it fully depending if you're trying to contact a remote host or receive SNMP queries.

I haven't any luck. I've always managed to screw up even after RTFM'ing. I guess I'll read it again.

Give microsoft a call after all you paid for that support when your purchased that software. 1800-Microsoft that simple, but I don't think they will be able to help but goodluck
