Ok, than execute this command, and post the result: cat /etc/issue

Posted by TheITAdvisory, 07-19-2008, 01:33 PM
You can type uname -a for the kernel version, do you have cpanel/whm? You can also view the distro type in there as well. for your specific distro name, issue cat /etc/issue

I'm not 100% sure, but as I can see you are running "RHEL5" version... Please execute these commands from your command line: up2date freetype freetype-devel and if this does not work, please try this: yum install freetype freetype-devel

Posted by sinus, 07-19-2008, 02:12 PM
up2date freetype freetype-devel' could not be executed but this command 'yum install freetype freetype-devel' executed. what should i do in next step please? sorry for inconvinience but i have to say i'm so primary pls for activating Function imagettftext guide me step by step... root@server [~]# yum install freetype freetype-devel Loading "fastestmirror" plugin Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile * base: ftp.plusline.de * updates: ftp.plusline.de * addons: ftp.plusline.de * extras: ftp.plusline.de base 100% |=========================| 1.1 kB 00:00 updates 100% |=========================| 951 B 00:00 addons 100% |=========================| 951 B 00:00 extras 100% |=========================| 1.1 kB 00:00 Excluding Packages in global exclude list Finished Setting up Install Process Parsing package install arguments Package freetype - 2.2.1-20.el5_2.i386 is already installed. Hmmm, it looks like you have "freetype" installed on your server. Try this now: yum install ImageMagick ImageMagick-devel

You or your member should try to run the application which give you that error, and see if everything is ok now, or the error is still there. I hope this helps.

my user are having this trouble yet what should i do?

Posted by RoseHosting, 07-21-2008, 02:36 AM
Please create a file in your web server document root called info.php. Add the following line: Your web server document root is the directory after the DocumentRoot directive in the Apache httpd.conf file. For example, if httpd.conf contains the line: DocumentRoot /var/www/html then you should create info.php using the 'touch /var/www/html/info.php' command line command. Open this file using some web browser: http://'your_IP_address'/info.php and check if GD and FreeType-support are enabled.
