Recommend SAS HD and Raid Controller

Hi For a spamfilter gateway we need as fast as possible harddisks with a raid controller. Unfortunately we can have only two disks, so we need to stay with raid1. The server is running Debian 5, and it would be nice if the driver for the controller is already inside degian. Which Raid Controller and which Harddisks would your recommend? Thanks Michael

Raid Controller Adaptec 5405 Raid Controller Battery Disk Drives Hitachi 15k450 The only way to really get any faster than above is to go with SSD. If space is not really important, I would recommend doing that.

3Ware is good in my experience as are Areca and LSI, though I've heard very good things about the Intel (Hardware) RAID cards. For speed you'll want 15K RPM disks or Intel SSDs.
