Excessive Resources Usage

Posted by Kisty, 10-09-2009, 01:47 PM
Resource: Virtual Memory Size Exceeded: 149 > 100 (MB) Executable: /usr/bin/php I've been receiving e-mails about this. May I know how to fix this?

Its to do with the php page your calling at the time, I would change LFD to report on usage about 150 meg and not 100 meg. then you'll get less emails about it. Or if its causing an issue then try to find out which user is causing the alert.

How do I do that?

Edit the file /etc/csf/csf.conf Find the the below line PT_USERMEM = "100" Replace 100 with higher value(200 or above) or Set to 0 to disable this feature

Hi, Let me to drop my question here, i have an issue also. It is ok to change the default value? it is not harm to our server memory by hogging or getting down for multiple processes? thank you.

It depends if the default value is giving you false alerts that may be regular usage for your server.
