I usually go mobile and I would need putty in my wm 6.1 is there some sort of "putty" or any other ssh tool where i can run ssh commands?

Pocket PuTTy works nicely.

So is that safe to use considering the last update was 2007?

I'm using "PocketPuTTY 2007-02-28 dev build for WM2003 (release)".

PocketPuTTY works, but it's a bit slow. Token2Shell Mobile is about $50 but honestly it's worth it - performance is great, it can use OpenSSH-generated keys. It works flawless for me. If you want free, I don't understand why the last update for PuTTY (same with the other thread for the desktop version) being two years ago is a problem.

I use MidpSSH and love it, never had an issue with it.

AFAIK Windows Mobile doesn't support the framework (J2ME) MidpSSH runs on.

we regularly have support staff accessing Shell via a mobile platform - works without issue

Pocket putty here, depends a little bit on the mobile as to how useful this is though you really need a full qwerty keyboard on your mobile to make good use of it on the move.
