As everyone will tell you here, most of these providers are overselling. Word is, you should stay away from them because more times than not, you will be running into trouble.

Ok, but lets say i have forum-like site with about 100 users. They are posting there regulary - Aprox. how much bandwith i need? Becuse i dont want to run my custumers in to some kind of limitations... And (if my resellers plan overuse) can i buy some more bandwith that month?

Your usage, this is probably a very hard thing to tell unless you already have the forum setup. Shared hosts will simply suspend your account when you reach your bandwidth limit. You have the option of waiting until the next month, or upgrading plans. I would suggest you finding a decent host who doesn't oversell, choose a medium based plan you think you will use, and if you start coming close to your limits, consider upgrading to a higher plan.

I agree with that. Try to judge what you realistically need find a host that matches and make sure they have a viable upgrade path. Start small and grow as needed. No need to waste money upfront buying resources you don't need. Buy them when they're necessary and you'll save money.

should we take the master resellers provided by many hosts ??

If they advertise unlimited bandwidth, they are overselling. There's no ifs and buts. 100 users total membership? Then, unless all they do is type all day long on your forum, usage will be small, possibly even under 1GB per month. If you're talking about 100 users online at the same time, most hosts will probably ask you to move that to a more dedicated solution. Fact is, with a forum, you're much more likely to run into this situation, than run out of bandwidth (unless you allow huge attachments to be posted). Most hosts will give you more bandwidth if required, but the costs are usually very steep, to "encourage" you to upgrade to the next plan.

Bandwitdh is no real problem when having a forum, instead you should look into server usage or resources. As said, the more concurrent users you have the more server resources your account will eat up

If your users are consuming that big amount of bandwidth they should be forced to migrate to a dedicated server. Also, the term unlimited diskspace and bandwidth in the web hosting business DOES NOT EXIST. There are restrictions no matter what and if any hosts offer you unlimited or unmetered bandwidth on a reseller plan they are overselling and lying to you.
