Eligibiliy for refund

Hi If I paid for a hosting service and I realize that they do not support and the websitepanel they provide do not function well, how long should I wait before issuing a charge back? Basically I cannot create accounts or whatsoever with the panel they provide but I can log in and their live chat is like online but after waiting for a while it just kick me out and ask me to leave a message.

First and foremost, you need to understand that chargeback does not equate to refund. Does the provider offer money back guarantee? Have you contacted their Billing department by submitting a ticket to request for a refund? Do give them a few days since Billing departments are normally not 24x7.

Hi Sorry about that. Yes the provider do have 30 days money back guanrantee, I meant to ask how many days should I wait for a refund before I charge back and also how many days I should wait for their technical support before I ask for refund. I kind of lump it together.

Have you tried to work on the problems with the host? Maybe they can assist you in getting whats not functioning properly corrected, but if you are unsatisfied with their service you should request your refund as soon as possible.

You should always just contact your host first and see what they have to say about it. Chargebacks are definatly not what you should be doing at the start.

Contact them, and give them a few days to get back to you. If you haven't gotten it within a couple of weeks of putting in your request and you haven't heard from them (check your spam box) I think it would be safe to submit a chargeback. Ultimately give the provider a chance to make the situation right (i.e. refund) before submitting a chargeback.

You should contact them and explain that you want a refund and see how long they say it will take.

Try submitting a ticket instead of using live chat, since you are getting "kicked out". They may be able to help you and see why it is not doing what you want. If all else fails and you are still under the 30 day period, try contacting them for a refund, and you should get your money back.

Contact them before charging back. Good luck if you have chosen a new host.

If you paid via credit card, you would have a good chance of getting your money. If you paid via PayPal, you would probably loose the claim as they generally do not investigate intangible or the quality of goods purchased off of ebay.
